Production Day
On production day we mostly used the hardware we had learnt to use during the workshops in the pre-production stage. This was good as it meant we had learnt how to use the hardware previous to production day and we were comfortable using it. This hardware being: the Black Magic URSA camera and Sennheiser Shotgun mic. We did not use any artificial lighting (low-key or high-key) as we were filming outside. While this is what we wanted, we had to change the exposure wheel often throughout the day as it was cloudy and the sun kept coming out. However, we didn't change the white balance on the camera hardware. Additionally, we used our phones throughout to note any shot ideas that came to us throughout the day and to take photos of one another using the equipment and the progression of our production day. The wind sock on the mic was extremely important as it was windy that day and a lot of the sound would have been distorted if we had filmed the sound without it.
